An intellectually, emotionally and morally stimulating feast, Andrew Harries directs one of the 20th centuries most significant works by Bertolt Brecht, “The Good Person of Szechwan”.
In this new version of the work by Tony Kushner, Young Actors Theatre bring to life the tale of three Gods, descending to Earth to sort out the complicated mess of society. Perhaps rather poignant to the global, political and moral swing to the right of 2016, The Good Person of Szechwan gives a philosophical vantage point examining the co-existence of yin and yang, and how ‘the good’ have to struggle to ‘be good’!
Let YATI take you on a dramatic journey with hundreds of characters, out-of-tune music, plays within plays, and Brecht’s own brand of nutty-ness!
