Young Actors Theatre classes in our buildings will be pausing until further notice after our last class today, 19th March.
Whilst we all knew that this was inevitable, these are very hard words for me to write, especially as I know that YATI is a lovely bubble of hope, light and respite from our sometimes difficult outside world, not just for our members but for our staff, teachers, class assistants, audience members and all the other amazing creative people who work, learn, teach, rehearse, sing, dance, create and hang out here.
I don’t know how long the pause button will be on, but we will of course be back, and with your help, support and forbearance we will be so bigger and brighter than ever before. There’s no way anyone is going to stop me putting on the famous YATI Christmas show; this year we will be doing classic musical Guys & Dolls, but we are planning to be with you again much sooner than that.
We are exploring ways to keep doing what we do, and if we can’t have you in the building next term we are hoping we will be able to come to you, albeit virtually. We will be in touch with you about this when we have more news.
If you have any questions, need anything, or if you can help us in the difficult days ahead, send us an email – we will all be working from home with one aim – to fly the YATI flag and get us all back together as soon as possible.
Keep well, keep safe, keep creative.
Love from Andrew and all the team at Young Actors Theatre
