Audition for The Canal Tales THE MOVIE

The Canal Tales is back for a third year! This is our amazing play about the history of the Islington canals. In 2018 we performed it on top of a canal boat in Granary Square, in 2019 we performed it in the theatre at YATI. Now, in 2020, we have decided to turn it into a FILM which you have the chance to star in!!! There are main roles and supporting roles available and lots of opportunities for you to get creative, do some filming, and assist with directing. We are looking for actors who love to be creative, who love filming and being on camera. We will be using drama, news reporting, stop motion animation, and more!

AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO ALL YATI MEMBERS OF ALL AGES…….

If you would like to audition, please send a self tape of you performing any monologue (1 min max length) – this could be from a play, a TV show, or a book etc. by Fri 17th July 5pm to jamie@youngactors.org.uk. And let us know if you do have any film making skills/experience (but don’t worry if you don’t have any, you can still apply!)

Important Note for Parents/Guardians & Students
This project will involve some filming outside of scheduled rehearsals. All filming can be done on smart phones, no cameras or additional equipment necessary. You will need to be able to use WeTransfer or similar. Some students may be asked to film outside somewhere close to home like a canal (if you are near one) or park, but mostly we’ll be filming in our own homes.
