Sadly I am faced with closing down the theatre once again and moving our classes online from Thursday 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December inclusive.
This is of course a difficult decision. As we fall under the banner of education, and schools (for now) are not closing, there is a justification for us remaining open. However, I want YATI to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem as far as Covid19 is concerned.
I feel I need to put the health of our members and staff above any other considerations and think that anyone who can stay at home at this time should do so.
The relief and happiness of a return to the building this past half term has been palpable from students and staff alike and I know that what we do is much loved, appreciated and needed. I take some solace in the fact that this shutdown is time limited and I promise we will reopen at the end of it – we have survived this miserable year up to now and will continue to do so with your support.
We will be in touch to make sure you have zoom links for online classes which we will deliver with our usual elan and the aim of brightening what is shaping up to be a rather dark month ahead.
