Join Young Actors Theatre online for a unique Easter Drama School Experience

Every afternoon throughout the Easter ‘holidays’ our amazing teachers will be offering a series of live, online acting class to help you shake off the lockdown blues, tune up those performance muscles and spring back to creative life!
We will be looking at different acting skills and techniques every day including impro, sight reading, audition technique, story telling, movement, screen skills and more.
Sessions run Monday to Thursday 6th April to 9th April and Tuesday 14th April to Friday 17th April
  • Juniors (6 – 11 years) 2.00 – 3.30pm daily
  • Seniors (12 years and above) 4.00 – 5.30pm daily
Book one or more sessions, or the whole thing!
Look out for our teachers doing little taster sessions and adverts on social media!

FEES

  • Join all two weeks of Junior (6-11 yrs) or all Senior (12-16yrs) classes for £80
    (£60 concessionary rate) PER HOUSEHOLD
  • Join just one class for £12 (£8 concs) PER HOUSEHOLD
  • Join a second class or more for just for £11 each (£7.50 concs) PER HOUSEHOLD

WEEK ONE SCHEDULE
Monday 6th April
Juniors – Joey will be leading guided improvisations to build characters and stories
Seniors -Niall will be leading a small space movement class exploring using the elements to affect body and build physical characters
Tuesday 7th April
Juniors – Asha will focus on creating character voices using found around the house puppets and object manipulation
Seniors – Barney will set you off on a monologue writing adventure leading towards online performances
Wednesday 8th April
Juniors – Eleanor will be looking at melodrama in performance using silent films and throwing in some clowning and comedy impro!
Seniors – Jonny will be helping you create your own youtube style channel through story telling and impro
Thursday 9th April
Juniors – Asha will focus on creating character voices using found around the house puppets and object manipulation
Seniors – Niall will be leading a small space movement class exploring using the elements to affect body and build physical characters
WEEK TWO SCHEDULE
Tuesday 14th April
Juniors – Joey continues his work with impro and characterisation but newcomers are welcome to join
Seniors – Derek will be looking at audition technique and how to secure that casting
Wednesday 15th April
Juniors – Eleanor continues her work with comic characters and clowning, newcomers are welcome to join
Seniors – In his session Jonny promises to make Shakespeare actually fun!
Thursday 16th April
Juniors – Create creative characters with Asha. Asha continues to stir your creative minds and characterisation abilities
Seniors – What does it mean to be and Actor? Barney will look at the range of choices available to us as actors
Friday 17th April
Juniors – Niall will lead another movement based workshop on physical characterisation
Seniors – Derek will be looking at the oh so relevant art of the self tape!
